Japan Mensa (MIJ)is the only recognized Mensa group in Japan.
Our international high-IQ society welcomes people from every walk of life
whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population, with the objective of providing
a stimulating intellectual and social environment for members. Mensa is a
non-profit organization entirely run by volunteers. The word
"Mensa," meaning table in Latin, stands for a round-table association,
where race, color, creed, national origin, age, politics, educational or
social background are irrelevant. Mensa has over 100,000 members in over
40 countries throughout the world. Membership includes Mensans of all nationalities
living in Japan.
We welcome new members, transfering and rejoining Mensans, and visiting
Mensans from around the world.
Mensa "provides a forum for intellectual exchange among members. Its activities
include the exchange of ideas by events, lectures, discussions, journals, special-interest
groups, and local, regional, and international gatherings; the
investigations of members' opinions and attitudes; and assistance to researchers,
inside and outside Mensa, in projects dealing with intelligence or Mensa." |
